Primary Supply Teacher in Pevensey

Hays Education is seeking qualified primary teachers to provide flexible, short‑term cover in schools around Pevensey. Whether you are newly qualified or have several years of classroom experience, this role lets you work when it suits you while supporting local pupils.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the primary curriculum to classes as assigned, ensuring continuity of learning.
• Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment.
• Prepare and adapt lesson plans quickly to meet the needs of each school.
• Collaborate with school staff to follow safeguarding and health‑and‑safety procedures.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
• Clean DBS check.
• Teaching experience in a school setting within the last five years.
• Ability to start immediately and adapt to different school environments.

Required skills

• Strong classroom management.
• Effective communication with pupils and staff.
• Organisational skills to prepare lessons on short notice.
