Primary Teacher – Early Years (EYFS) – Chester

About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Primary Teacher to join a Chester primary school from September. The position is full‑time and temporary, supporting a class of 29 pupils with the help of a teaching assistant and one‑to‑one support for a child with an EHCP.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver EYFS curriculum for a mixed‑age class.
- Maintain strong behaviour management and promote positive pupil engagement.
- Collaborate with the classroom teaching assistant and provide targeted support for the EHCP pupil.
- Prepare and update records, including progress reports and attendance.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.
Required profile
- Proven experience teaching the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Ability to demonstrate effective behaviour management techniques.
- Commitment to inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional needs.
- Right to work in the UK (passport or birth certificate).
- CV covering at least ten years of education or employment history.
Required skills
- EYFS curriculum knowledge.
- Behaviour management strategies.
- Experience supporting pupils with an EHCP.
