Primary Teacher – Full‑time (Sept 2026)

About the role

We are seeking an accomplished Primary Teacher to join a high‑performing school in St Albans starting September 2026. This full‑time, long‑term position offers the opportunity to design and deliver challenging curriculum for Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 students in a supportive, innovative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver rigorous, intellectually demanding lessons that exceed national expectations.
• Use precise diagnostic tools and formative assessments to track progress and tailor interventions.
• Lead classroom assistants to provide targeted support for SEND and high‑potential pupils.
• Maintain an orderly classroom ethos rooted in positive behaviour and strong work ethic.
• Communicate regularly with parents, providing professional updates on academic and personal development.
• Contribute to department planning, research‑led initiatives, inset training and whole‑school enrichment programmes.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – mandatory.
• Proven teaching experience in a UK primary school setting.
• Ability to teach across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2.
• Demonstrated capacity to develop and implement high‑quality curriculum.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to collaborate with staff and families.
