Primary Teacher – Full‑time (Temporary)

About the role

Randstad Education is seeking a qualified Primary Teacher for a full‑time, temporary post in Welwyn Garden City, starting September 2026. The role involves delivering a rigorous curriculum, leading classroom assistants, and fostering a respectful learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver challenging lessons that exceed national expectations across core subjects.
• Coordinate classroom assistants to provide targeted support for SEND and high‑potential pupils.
• Maintain an orderly classroom atmosphere that promotes strong work ethic and positive behaviour.
• Communicate regularly with parents, providing updates on academic progress and wellbeing.
• Contribute to departmental planning, standardisation panels, inset training and whole‑school enrichment activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – mandatory.
• Proven teaching experience in a UK primary school, or strong potential as an Early Career Teacher.
• Deep understanding of modern pedagogical approaches, including child‑led exploration and advanced literacy and numeracy frameworks.
• Ability to inspire and manage a classroom with confidence and warmth.
• Commitment to a full‑time, 5‑day‑a‑week schedule for the 2026/2027 academic year.
• Successful completion of safeguarding vetting procedures.
