Primary Teacher – Full‑time (Temporary) Position

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Primary Teacher to join a respected school in Hemel Hempstead for the upcoming academic year. The role is full‑time and temporary, starting in September 2026, and offers the chance to work within a child‑centred, innovative learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons that align with the National Curriculum for EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
• Lead and coordinate classroom Teaching Assistants, ensuring effective support for SEN and EAL pupils.
• Maintain a positive, orderly classroom atmosphere that promotes high behavioural expectations and emotional safety.
• Communicate regularly with parents, carers and senior leadership about pupil progress and wellbeing.
• Contribute to whole‑school initiatives such as phase planning, curriculum development and staff briefings.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – mandatory.
• Proven experience teaching in UK primary schools, either as a generalist or early‑career teacher.
• Strong knowledge of primary‑level assessment, literacy, phonics and numeracy strategies.
• Effective classroom management skills and ability to foster respectful learning environments.
• Commitment to professional development and collaborative school culture.

Required skills

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Familiarity with the National Curriculum.
• Experience supporting SEN and EAL learners.
