About the role

We are seeking a passionate Primary Teacher to join Heath Farm School, an independent SEN school in Ashford. You will work in a nurturing environment where relationships are prioritised and creativity is encouraged, delivering personalised learning experiences that help every pupil thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons across the primary curriculum, tailored to individual learner needs.
• Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom where pupils feel valued and motivated.
• Use a range of assessment strategies to monitor progress, celebrate achievements and adapt teaching.
• Promote positive behaviour through trauma‑informed and restorative approaches.
• Collaborate with colleagues, families and external professionals to provide the best support for each pupil.
• Contribute to curriculum development, school improvement initiatives and the wider life of the school.
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of all pupils, keeping wellbeing at the heart of your practice.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Genuine passion for helping children with complex needs and diverse learning styles.
• Creative, flexible and adaptable teaching approach.
• Positive, resilient and collaborative attitude.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and delivering outstanding outcomes.
• Driving licence required.

Required skills

What we offer

• Salary up to £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
• 35‑hour week, Monday‑Friday, 8.30 am‑4.30 pm.
• Fixed‑term contract until March 2027, term‑time only.
