Primary Teacher – Maternity Cover (Full‑Time) – Ashford

About the role

We are partnering with a welcoming primary school in Ashford to recruit a full‑time Primary Teacher on a maternity‑cover basis starting in September. The role offers the chance to join a supportive community and make a tangible impact on pupils’ learning and development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons across the primary curriculum.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing targeted support to help each child reach their potential.
• Maintain effective classroom management and a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to whole‑school initiatives.
• Communicate regularly with parents and carers about pupil achievement.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
• Experience teaching in a primary‑school setting, either as an experienced teacher or an early‑career teacher.
• Strong knowledge of the national primary curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current DBS clearance on the Update Service or willingness to obtain a new DBS.
