Primary Teacher – PRU – Harrow – Immediate Start

About the role

We are seeking a resilient Primary Teacher to join a PRU in Harrow, delivering engaging and differentiated lessons to small groups of primary‑aged students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour. The role is full‑time and intended for a long‑term placement, with an immediate start date.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the diverse needs of students with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
• Maintain strong behaviour management strategies to create a safe learning environment.
• Work closely with therapeutic support staff and senior leadership to monitor student progress.
• Adapt teaching resources for small class sizes and alternative provision settings.

Required profile

• Proven experience working in a PRU, alternative provision, or with SEMH students.
• Demonstrated ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively.
• Resilience and commitment to a full‑time, long‑term role.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service.
