About the role
Reed Education is recruiting a qualified Primary Teacher to provide maternity cover for one academic year at a specialist school in Reading, Berkshire. The role starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to work in a supportive, inclusive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons for primary‑age pupils.
- Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents and external professionals to support pupil progress.
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of learning needs.
- Contribute to the school’s nurturing ethos and positive learning atmosphere.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching within the primary age range.
- Strong commitment to pupil progress, wellbeing and inclusion.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- High expectations for student achievement.
