About the role
We are looking for a passionate Primary Teacher to join Kestrel House School in Crouch End. You will work with children who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, autism and associated learning differences, helping them rediscover a love of learning.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative and personalised lessons for primary pupils.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet a wide range of individual learning needs.
- Create a calm, structured and nurturing classroom environment.
- Build positive relationships that develop confidence, resilience and emotional wellbeing.
- Monitor, assess and celebrate pupil progress, using data to inform future learning.
- Develop and review personalised learning plans, EHCP outcomes and individual targets.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, families and the multidisciplinary team.
- Champion safeguarding and uphold the highest standards of professional practice.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Passion for supporting children with additional needs to achieve their full potential.
- Ability to deliver personalised, inclusive education in a specialist setting.
Required skills
What we offer
- Salary up to £51,000 per annum (depending on experience).
- 37.5‑hour week, Monday to Friday, term‑time start in January 2027.
- Permanent contract with a focus on wellbeing and work‑life balance.
- Small class sizes, specialist resources and a supportive multidisciplinary team.
