Primary Teacher – Year 4 (Full‑time/Contract)

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with well‑organised primary schools in Brent to place a confident Year 4 Teacher for the September 2026 start. The role can be taken on a full‑time or part‑time basis, offering flexibility to suit your availability.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the KS2 National Curriculum with creativity and rigour, focusing on times‑tables fluency, reading for pleasure, written composition and mathematical reasoning.
• Use assessment data to personalise learning, plan interventions and track progress.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, the SENCO and EAL staff to support pupils with SEND and English as an Additional Language.
• Share planning across the year group to maintain a manageable workload and consistent expectations.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Proven KS2 teaching experience, preferably in Years 3‑5.
• Familiarity with the Multiplication Tables Check and strategies for building times‑tables fluency.
• Strong subject knowledge across core and foundation subjects at KS2 level.
• Experience differentiating for mixed‑ability groups, SEND and EAL.
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding and child‑protection knowledge.
