Primary Teacher – Year 4 (Temporary)

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a qualified Primary Teacher to join a partner primary school in Winsford for a short‑term assignment. The role covers a planned absence in a Year 4 class from September through the October half‑term, working on a full‑time basis.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the Year 4 curriculum in line with the school’s existing plans.
• Maintain a positive, energetic classroom environment that encourages student engagement.
• Monitor and support pupils’ progress, ensuring forward steps in learning.
• Collaborate with the headteacher and support staff to uphold school standards.

Required profile

• Eligibility to work in the UK (passport or birth certificate).
• Up‑to‑date CV covering at least ten years of education or employment history.
• Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to undergo the process (cost reimbursed).
• Enthusiasm for teaching and ability to adapt quickly to an existing lesson plan.

Required skills

• Classroom management.
• Knowledge of the National Curriculum for Year 4.
• Effective communication with pupils and staff.
