Primary Teacher – Year 5 (Portsmouth)

About the role

Reeson Education is looking for an enthusiastic Primary Teacher to lead a Year 5 class in a Portsmouth primary school. This full‑time, long‑term position starts in September and offers a supportive environment where you can inspire and develop young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons across all Year 5 subjects.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
• Collaborate with fellow staff to uphold safeguarding and school policies.
• Provide regular feedback on pupil progress.
• Contribute to wider school initiatives and extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
• Proven experience teaching in UK primary schools.
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
• Flexibility and reliability in delivering the curriculum.
