Primary Teaching Assistant – Cheltenham (Full‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Cheltenham. The role starts as soon as possible and is term‑time only, offering a supportive environment for early‑year education.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with specialist teachers to deliver engaging lessons across Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Provide tailored support to children with additional needs, helping them achieve their full potential.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages development.
• Assist pupils of varying abilities in small groups and one‑to‑one settings.
• Implement effective classroom behaviour management strategies.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
• Willingness to work full‑time (8:30 – 15:30) during school terms.
• Ability to build strong relationships with staff, pupils and parents.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.

Required skills

• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
