About the role
Randstad Education is recruiting a Primary Teaching Assistant for a school in Exeter. The role is term‑time only and offers a balanced schedule that fits well with personal commitments.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the classroom teacher with daily lesson set‑up and classroom activities.
- Work one‑to‑one or in small groups to support pupils in reading, writing and numeracy.
- Create a positive, safe and engaging learning environment.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and support children during break times.
Required profile
- Experience working with children in schools, nurseries, youth clubs, sports coaching or volunteering.
- Patient, resilient and encouraging personality.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
Required skills
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one).
What we offer
- Fixed working hours 8:30 am‑3:30 pm, Monday‑Friday, term‑time only.
- Daily rate £92.56‑£95, paid weekly.
- Dedicated support from a Randstad consultant throughout the hiring process.
