Primary Teaching Assistant – Flexible Supply Roles in Leeds

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistants to provide flexible, daily supply support across a range of primary schools in Leeds. You will work on a day‑to‑day basis, stepping into classrooms to assist teachers and help pupils achieve their learning goals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver small‑group literacy, numeracy or phonics interventions in line with the EYFS, KS1 or KS2 curriculum.
• Support teachers with classroom management and individual pupil needs.
• Adapt quickly to different school environments and follow each school’s policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of activities and progress as required.

Required profile

• Recent, verifiable experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant in a UK primary school.
• Valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to complete a new check.
• Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for early years and key stages.
• Excellent communication and a proactive, warm approach to supporting diverse learners.
