Primary Teaching Assistant

About the role

Join a local primary school network as a Primary Teaching Assistant, supporting teachers and pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. You will help create an engaging, inclusive classroom where every child can thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and preparing resources.
• Lead small‑group interventions in phonics, reading or maths to boost confidence and attainment.
• Support pupils’ social and emotional development and help manage classroom behaviour.
• Collaborate with teachers to track progress and ensure a safe learning environment.

Required profile

• Proactive, energetic and able to work independently.
• Experience working with children in a school, youth club or similar setting.
• Good knowledge of the primary curriculum and ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
