Primary Teaching Assistant – Leeds

About the role

Reed Education is partnering with a Multi‑Academy Trust in Leeds to recruit experienced Primary Teaching Assistants for short‑term placements across the city. You will work in a variety of primary schools, supporting teachers and students to enhance learning outcomes. This role offers immediate start and flexible patterns to suit your availability.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the classroom for each session in collaboration with the class teacher
• Provide extra support to children as needed
• Assist teachers in planning and record‑keeping
• Support teachers in managing class behaviour

Required profile

• Patient and able to build strong relationships with children
• Empathetic, approachable, kind and caring
• Thorough understanding of safeguarding in a school setting
• Experience working with special‑needs pupils
• Strong behaviour management skills
