Primary Teaching Assistant – Leeds (Yorkshire & Humberside)

About the role

Join a friendly primary school team in Pudsey, supporting young learners to overcome challenges and build confidence. This full‑time position offers a stable weekly pay rate and clear pathways for career progression within education.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver guided reading, phonics and basic numeracy sessions to small groups.
• Provide one‑to‑one assistance for pupils with special educational needs (SEND).
• Support the lead teacher with administrative duties, classroom set‑up and displays.
• Implement the school’s positive behaviour policy to keep children motivated.
• Monitor pupil wellbeing during indoor and outdoor activities.
• Record progress observations and report insights to the teaching team.

Required profile

• Experience working with or supporting children in schools, tutoring, sports coaching or nurseries.
• GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics.
• Patient, proactive and positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
• Valid Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
• High adaptability and enthusiasm for collaborative teamwork.
