Primary Teaching Assistant (Level 3) – Full-time Temporary

About the role

We are looking for a Level 3 Primary Teaching Assistant to join a school in Blackburn for the upcoming academic year. The role is full‑time and temporary, running from September 2026 to the end of the school year.

Key responsibilities

  • Support a KS1 class under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Assist in preparing and delivering daily lessons.
  • Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group help to pupils.
  • Manage classroom resources and set up activities.
  • Supervise students during lunch, recess and other non‑classroom times.
  • Help monitor and record pupil progress.

Required profile

  • Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with children.
  • Good organisational abilities and teamwork mindset.
  • Commitment to professional growth and development.
