Primary Teaching Assistant (Level 3) – Temporary Full‑time

About the role

Reed, a leading teaching agency, is seeking a Level 3 Primary Teaching Assistant for a temporary full‑time position in Rossendale. The role starts in September 2026 and runs for the academic year, supporting a Key Stage 2 class five days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering daily lessons.
• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to help pupils understand material and complete tasks.
• Maintain a supportive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Manage classroom resources and set up activities.
• Supervise students during lunch, recess and other non‑classroom times.
• Help monitor and record student progress.

Required profile

• Holding a Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 3) or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with children.
• Good organisational abilities and teamwork orientation.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
