Primary Teaching Assistant – Oxbridge Graduate Programme

About the role
This full‑time, year‑long position is designed for recent Oxbridge or Russell Group graduates who aspire to become primary teachers. You will join a warm, inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets and gain hands‑on experience across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
Key responsibilities
- Support pupils in phonics, reading, writing and maths during lessons.
- Deliver 1:1 and small‑group interventions to raise attainment.
- Assist teachers with general teaching assistant duties across the classroom.
- Provide targeted support for SEN students (ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, speech & language).
- Help EAL learners access the curriculum.
- Contribute to the school’s inclusive and community‑focused ethos.
Required profile
- Desirable degree from Oxford, Cambridge or a Russell Group university (1st or 2:1 preferred).
- Strong academic record at A‑Level and GCSE.
- Clear ambition to train as a primary teacher.
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
- Confident, proactive and able to work collaboratively.

- Daily rate of £120‑£150 (paid per day).
