Primary Tutor – Full‑time Tuition & Targeted Learning

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Primary Tutor to join a dedicated Tuition & Targeted Learning team. The role involves delivering personalised, high‑quality tuition to primary‑aged pupils who face barriers to mainstream education.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, individualised lessons for one‑to‑one or small‑group sessions.
• Provide tuition in learners' homes, schools, community venues and, where appropriate, online.
• Assess progress, keep accurate records and contribute to review meetings.
• Collaborate with families, schools and other professionals to support inclusive learning.
• Promote positive outcomes for every student, adhering to safeguarding standards.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification (QTS or PGCE).
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in primary education.
• Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
• Experience supporting children with SEND, medical needs or other learning barriers.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice.
• Confidence using educational technology and digital resources.
