Principal Architect - Finance

About the role

LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) is looking for an Architect to support Finance programmes by delivering a comprehensive data and technology strategy that supports its Transformation targets. The role suits an enthusiastic engineer with a strong delivery record in data frameworks, architecture and operating models, working in a collaborative team.

Key responsibilities

• Review business functional and control requirements and help define operational and non-functional ones
• Design technical architecture solutions for Finance aligned with the organisation's technical strategy and standards
• Provide consistent solution views for all stakeholders and assess options against business requirements, benefits and risks
• Support vendor selection and assessment of on-premise, PaaS and SaaS solutions
• Assess the current and emerging engineering landscape for Finance and wider LSEG technology
• Support delivery teams, blending technical and stakeholder communication skills
• Review detailed design, code reviews and artefacts from development, testing and release teams
• Ensure designs follow the Digital Blueprint, Enterprise Architecture and Product Roadmaps, using architecture patterns, tools and standards
• Present to governance forums for review and sign-off
• Analyse business needs and design complex ecosystems around CRM, billing, ERP, sales and marketing systems, including data models, integrations, user interfaces and security

Required profile

• Experience in architecture patterns and flows for Finance
• Professional experience delivering strategic data solutions for Customer, Finance, compliance or Risk in banking, financial services, regulated or B2B sales organisations
• Ability to work independently and handle products on SaaS, PaaS and managed service models
• Strong verbal and written communication, able to explain technical information to non-technical partners

Required skills

• Architecture, design and delivery for cloud (AWS, Azure, Oracle) and on-premise platforms, including integrations
• Excellent understanding of data concepts for capture and reporting
• Oracle (DB, Fusion SaaS, ORMB or EPM) is a plus
