Principal BMS Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Building Management System (BMS) professional to lead high‑performance building environments on major projects. As a Principal BMS Engineer you will shape design strategy, drive innovation and ensure technical excellence across cutting‑edge building systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development of BMS design packages, documentation and specifications.
• Collaborate closely with clients, subject‑matter experts and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Review tenders, technical submissions and operation & maintenance manuals.
• Champion technical excellence, innovation and coordinated design across projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and support team development.

Required profile

• Senior, client‑facing engineering professional with full accountability for BMS delivery.
• Proven experience delivering complex BMS solutions on large‑scale projects.
• Strong ability to influence project direction, design strategy and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Building Management System (BMS) design and implementation.
• Preparation of technical documentation, specifications and O&M manuals.
