Principal Category Manager - NHS

About the role

Join Sopra Steria’s Digital & IT Category team as a Principal Category Manager supporting the NHS and wider public sector. You will lead the Infrastructure sub‑category, overseeing projects that deliver social care, cloud solutions and end‑user devices.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and coaching to a small team within the Infrastructure sub‑category.
• Lead the Procurement Act ’23 procurement for Technology Enabled Care Services to increase community care capacity.
• Manage one of the largest frameworks for end‑user devices, driving growth and marketing opportunities.
• Produce high‑quality documentation for Procurement Review Boards and engage with the government Spend Control process.
• Develop tender documentation and other internal/external procurement artefacts as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement leadership, preferably within public sector or digital services.
• Strong understanding of NHS digital agendas and public‑sector procurement regulations.
• Ability to manage complex commercial relationships and multi‑stakeholder governance.
