Principal Consultant – IT Recruitment

About the role

We are a leading recruitment agency seeking a driven Principal Consultant to join our IT team in Bristol. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing candidates to nurturing client relationships, helping organisations accelerate their digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and grow a personal client portfolio through proactive business development and sales calls.
• Source, screen, and present qualified IT talent using our database, job boards, and online tools.
• Write compelling job advertisements to attract high‑quality candidates.
• Maintain and expand relationships with existing accounts while winning new business.
• Collaborate with the wider team to foster a positive, high‑performing work environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in permanent IT recruitment, covering both new‑business development and candidate placement.
• Demonstrated ability to build and grow client relationships and manage key accounts.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture.

Required skills

• Proficiency with recruitment databases, job boards and candidate sourcing tools.
