Principal Engineer & Design Engineering Manager

About the role

This senior position will lead a multidisciplinary team of electronic, mechanical and software engineers to develop a new product range from concept through to mass manufacturing. The role combines hands‑on engineering expertise with strategic management to deliver innovative solutions for high‑end clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full product development lifecycle – conception, prototyping, build, test, validation and manufacturing readiness.
• Act as the technical liaison for internal stakeholders and external customers.
• Translate customer requirements into engineered solutions.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement of new and existing products.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship and performance development for the engineering team.
• Prepare and present technical reports to senior leadership and the board.

Required profile

• Strong background in electronics design with experience in mechanical and software engineering contexts.
• Proven track record of leading engineering teams and delivering products to market.
• Deep understanding of New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Product Development (NPD) processes.
• Solid foundation in core design engineering principles.
• Experience managing product improvement and prototyping projects.
