About the role
Arm is seeking a Principal Real Time Interconnect Architect to shape the strategic direction of Arm‑based systems across smartphones, automotive, and datacenter markets. You will lead the definition and demonstration of Quality of Service (QoS) capabilities across our IP portfolio and system architectures.
Key responsibilities
- Specify QoS requirements for real‑time predictability, power management, performance, and interference containment across the IP portfolio.
- Collaborate with solution architects to translate system‑level QoS needs into concrete architectural specifications.
- Work with AMBA and Arm architecture teams to enable future QoS features.
- Define and lead methodologies for validating QoS architectures both theoretically and on real hardware.
Required profile
- Proven experience building systems with robust QoS capabilities, including hard real‑time devices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to build consensus across multiple technical teams.
- Deep understanding of QoS theory and ability to evaluate alternative approaches.
- Self‑motivated with a track record of setting and achieving technical goals.
Required skills
- Python or similar scripting language.
- RTL design (HDL) sufficient to assess area, speed, and power impacts of architectural decisions.
