Principal Social Worker – Early Help

About the role
The Principal Social Worker will lead the Early Help team for Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council, driving improvements in practice and outcomes for children, young people and adults.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate to raise performance, quality and consistency across the team.
- Develop innovative, evidence‑based interventions that deliver positive outcomes.
- Represent the service at multi‑agency meetings and promote best practice.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and mentorship within the team.
- Lead strategic development and partnership working for the service.
- Provide professional leadership, guidance and mentorship to team members.
Required profile
- Registered social worker with extensive experience in early help or similar services.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and develop staff.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence‑based practice.
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS disclosure.
- Ability to register with Remedy for locum positions.
