Principal Structural Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to lead technically demanding projects from concept through construction. You will define structural strategy, drive quality, and ensure delivery excellence on large‑scale data centre and critical infrastructure developments.

Key responsibilities

• Act as senior technical authority, delivering robust and efficient structural solutions.
• Lead design of steel, concrete, and foundation systems for complex buildings.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, interfacing with clients, architects, and consultants.
• Conduct technical reviews, mentor junior engineers, and raise design standards.
• Contribute to best‑practice processes, standards, and design consistency across the organisation.

Required profile

• Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (BEng/BSc or equivalent).
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
• Extensive experience delivering structural design for complex buildings or infrastructure.
• Proven track record leading design teams and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Deep understanding of applicable codes, standards and regulatory frameworks.
