Private Banker – Middle East and North Africa

About the role

Barclays is seeking an Ultra‑High‑Net‑Worth Private Banker to join its growing Private Banking team in London. You will provide bespoke banking, lending and wealth‑structuring solutions to UHNW clients across the Middle East and North Africa, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of UHNW clients with investable assets of at least £20 m.
• Deliver exceptional service, conduct regular portfolio reviews and provide tailored financial advice.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert on banking products, credit, investments and complex client queries.
• Identify, onboard and retain new clients through networking, referrals and strategic partnerships.
• Develop and execute region‑specific strategies to attract and retain wealthy clients.
• Represent the bank at client events, wealth‑management forums and high‑profile gatherings.
• Advise on portfolio management, estate planning, succession and offshore structuring where relevant.
• Keep clients informed on market trends, economic updates and investment opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Private Banker serving UHNW clients in the Middle East market.
• Track record of managing a client book with assets of at least £20 m.
• Strong client‑service and relationship‑management capabilities.
• Experience in risk control and monitoring within a client portfolio.
• Deep understanding of global economic, political and competitive dynamics.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing regulatory and technological environments.
