Private Banker – Ultra‑High‑Net‑Worth (MENA)

About the role

Barclays is seeking an experienced Private Banker to join its growing Private Banking team in London. The role focuses on serving Ultra‑High‑Net‑Worth (UHNW) clients across the Middle East and North Africa, delivering bespoke banking, investment, and wealth‑structuring solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of UHNW clients, understanding their financial goals and risk appetite.
• Act as the primary point of contact, providing exceptional service, financial advice, and regular portfolio reviews.
• Identify, onboard, and nurture new client relationships through networking, referrals, and strategic partnerships.
• Deliver tailored advice on banking products, credit, investments, estate planning, succession, and offshore structuring.
• Stay informed on market trends, economic updates, and investment opportunities to keep clients well‑advised.
• Represent Barclays at client events, wealth‑management forums, and high‑profile gatherings in London.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Private Banker with a client base holding at least £20 million in investable assets within the Middle‑East market.
• Strong client‑servicing and relationship‑management skills with UHNW individuals.
• Demonstrated ability to monitor and control risk within a client book.
• Deep knowledge of global economic, political, and competitive dynamics and their impact on clients.
• Understanding of investments, banking, and trust concepts, including asset allocation, managed portfolios, brokerage accounts, and wealth‑planning products.
