Private Banking Relationship Manager

About the role

A prestigious international bank based in London is hiring a Private Banking Relationship Manager to strengthen its Private Banking division. The role is central to the bank’s 2026 growth agenda, focusing on high‑net‑worth client coverage, service delivery and portfolio expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deepen long‑term relationships with high‑net‑worth individuals, acting as their primary point of contact.
• Identify cross‑selling and up‑selling opportunities to grow client portfolios and meet revenue and asset targets.
• Travel internationally every other month to support relationship development and coordinate with regional stakeholders.
• Ensure strict compliance with AML, sanctions screening, PEP monitoring, CDD/KYC protocols and escalate exceptions as needed.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Settlements and Operations to deliver seamless client service.
• Maintain accurate client files, conduct periodic reviews and execute client requests such as transfers, cash orders and cheque book issuance.
• Monitor performance against KPIs and contribute to business strategy and budgeting for the Private Banking department.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a customer‑facing role within retail financial services or banking.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of AML regulations (JMLSG, FCA, EU directives) and experience with compliance processes.
• Degree‑level education in a relevant financial discipline; CEMAP qualification is desirable.
• Right to work in the UK; sponsorship is not available.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work accurately under compliance standards.
