Private Client Assistant Manager

About the role

Join a leading regional tax and accounting advisory firm as a Private Client Assistant Manager. You will work within a growing team that delivers high‑quality tax and compliance services to personal tax clients, including high‑net‑worth individuals, trusts and estates.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit personal tax returns and trust tax filings, ensuring all required data is collected.
• Administer estates and prepare associated accounts.
• Maintain compliance with the Trust Registration Service and complete Inheritance Tax event forms.
• Manage communications with HMRC, third‑party advisers and clients.
• Support the tax and trust management team on ad‑hoc compliance and advisory tasks.
• Conduct technical research on legislative changes and keep knowledge up to date.

Required profile

• ATT or STEP qualified (or part‑qualified) – ideal.
• 3‑4 years of relevant experience, preferably with exposure to trust work.
• Flexible, adaptable and able to drive tasks to completion.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven organisational skills with a track record of delivering results.
• Professional integrity and objectivity.

Required skills

• Knowledge of UK personal tax legislation and trust taxation.
• Experience preparing tax returns and inheritance tax documentation.
