Private Client Managing Associate – Leeds (Hybrid)

About the role

This senior Managing Associate position sits within a highly regarded UK Top 100 law firm’s Private Client team in Leeds. You will lead complex, high‑value matters while supervising junior colleagues and nurturing client relationships in a hybrid working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of sophisticated private client matters, including wills, trusts, inheritance tax mitigation and wealth preservation.
• Draft bespoke wills and trust structures, and advise on cross‑border estate planning.
• Collaborate with corporate, family and real‑estate teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Oversee business succession planning and high‑value estate administration, including overseas assets.
• Liaise with tax accountants, financial planners and investment managers to provide comprehensive advice.

Required profile

• Significant experience in private client law, particularly wills, trusts and inheritance tax planning.
• Proven ability to handle high‑value, complex estates independently.
• Experience supervising and supporting junior lawyers.
• Strong collaborative mindset and excellent client‑care skills.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of UK private client legislation and trust law.
• Experience with cross‑border estate planning.
• Ability to draft complex legal documents (wills, trusts, succession plans).
