Private Client Solicitor – Chippenham

About the role

G2 Legal Limited is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its Chippenham office. The role offers exposure to high‑net‑worth individuals, business owners, farming families and landed estates, with a focus on estate planning, trusts and probate work.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on wills, succession planning and inheritance tax strategies.
• Draft, establish and administer a variety of trusts.
• Manage probate matters and complex estate administrations.
• Provide tax‑efficient estate structuring and wealth preservation advice.
• Support high‑net‑worth individuals, entrepreneurs and agricultural clients.
• Prepare lasting powers of attorney and other private client documentation.
• Maintain and grow a loyal client base across Wiltshire and the South West.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx).
• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience in private client law.
• Strong technical knowledge of trusts, probate and inheritance tax.
• Proven ability to manage an independent private client caseload.
• Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Required skills

• STEP qualification (desirable) or working towards STEP accreditation.
