Private Client Solicitor

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established, friendly law firm in Swanley to recruit a Senior Private Client Solicitor. The successful candidate will inherit a well‑planned handover from a long‑standing fee earner and will manage a diverse private client portfolio within a supportive, low‑stress environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an independent caseload covering Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate and estate administration.
• Provide tailored, empathetic advice to a broad client base while maintaining high professional standards.
• Handle all transaction aspects with autonomy and meticulous attention to detail.
• Stay up‑to‑date with relevant legislation and compliance requirements.
• Mentor and support a junior solicitor as needed.
• Represent the firm locally and cultivate lasting client relationships.

Required profile

• Minimum five years’ experience in Private Client work (qualification by experience welcome).
• Strong technical knowledge of estate accounts and tax matters.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
• Full UK driving licence for occasional home visits.
• Desire for a long‑term role to build a personal practice within the firm.
