Private Client Solicitor – Probate & Estate Planning

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join our growing Wills, Probate and Estate Planning team in Plymouth. The role offers high‑quality private client work, genuine career progression and a flexible hybrid working model within a respected Legal 500 law firm.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of private client matters, including wills, probate, estate administration and trusts.
• Provide inheritance tax planning and lasting power of attorney advice for individuals, families and high‑net‑worth clients.
• Draft and review legal documents such as wills, trusts, LPAs and related agreements.
• Liaise with clients across Plymouth and the wider Devon region, delivering clear and professional advice.
• Collaborate with senior partners and the wider team to ensure compliance and high service standards.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx) with proven experience in private client work.
• Demonstrated expertise in probate, estate administration, wills, trusts and inheritance tax planning.
• Experience handling high‑net‑worth and elderly client portfolios.
• Strong communication skills and a client‑focused approach.
