Private Client Solicitor – £50k-£70k + Benefits

About the role

We are seeking a Private Client Solicitor to join our Legal 500‑recognised firm in Berkhamsted. The successful candidate will inherit an established high‑net‑worth client base and will be responsible for delivering high‑quality wills, trusts and estate planning advice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of private client matters, including wills and estate planning.
• Create and administer trusts for high‑net‑worth individuals and families.
• Provide inheritance tax and broader estate planning advice.
• Draft and maintain lasting powers of attorney.
• Handle probate and estate administration work.
• Assist with Court of Protection matters (desirable).
• Deal with contentious probate matters where applicable.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor with 2‑8 years post‑qualification experience in Private Client work.
• Proven ability to manage an independent caseload with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of wills, trusts, probate and tax planning.
• Excellent communication and client‑relationship skills.
• Commercially minded with an interest in business development.
