Private Client Solicitor – Self‑Employed Consultant

About the role

Richard Nelson LLP is seeking experienced private client solicitors to join its national consultancy model as self‑employed consultants. You will operate with full autonomy, managing your own caseload while benefiting from the firm’s compliance, administrative, and marketing support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist private client legal advice to high‑net‑worth individuals and families.
• Manage and grow a personal client portfolio, meeting billing targets of at least £100,000 per annum.
• Prepare and review legal documents, including wills, trusts, and dispute resolutions.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory obligations and firm policies.
• Collaborate with the firm’s in‑house teams for training, precedent access, and administrative assistance.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with post‑qualification experience in private client work.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload independently.
• Existing client base generating a minimum of £8,000 monthly billing.
• Strong commercial awareness and commitment to high‑quality client service.
