Private Client Solicitor (Shoreham-by-Sea)

About the role

We are a growing law firm in Shoreham‑by‑Sea seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join our dedicated private client team. The role offers a supportive environment with clear career progression and a hybrid working model.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied private client caseload covering wills, probate, change of position (COP), inheritance tax (IHT) planning and trusts.
• Prepare and execute lasting powers of attorney (LPA) and oversee estate administrations.
• Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with high‑net‑worth individuals and families.
• Identify new business opportunities through networking and proactive business development.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with a desire to obtain or already holding STEP qualification.
• Proven experience in private client work, including wills, probate and tax planning.
• Strong client‑focused attitude and ability to build trusted relationships.

Required skills

• STEP qualification (or commitment to achieve).
• Wills drafting and probate administration.
• Inheritance tax (IHT) planning.
• Trust creation and administration.
• Drafting lasting powers of attorney (LPA).
