Private Client Solicitor – Up to £95k (Hybrid, Bath)

About the role

This is a permanent, hybrid position based in Bath for an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Lawyer. You will join a growing, modern law firm that is expanding its presence across the South West and will have the autonomy to shape the private client practice in the new office.

Key responsibilities

• Advise individuals, families, business owners and high‑net‑worth clients on wills, estate planning and probate matters.
• Draft and administer trusts, lasting powers of attorney and inheritance‑tax strategies.
• Provide wealth‑management and business succession advice.
• Develop and maintain long‑term client relationships, working closely with accountants and independent financial advisers.
• Support the growth of the Private Client team and help raise the firm’s profile in the region.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver integrated, client‑focused solutions.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and commercial opportunities.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with at least 3 years PQE in Private Client work.
• Strong technical experience across a broad range of private client matters.
• Excellent communication and client‑care skills.
• Proven ability to build trusted, long‑term relationships with clients and referrers.
• Commercial awareness and interest in business development.
• Collaborative yet confident working autonomously.
• Ambitious, proactive and eager to play a key role in a growing team.
