Private Client Solicitor – Wills and Probate

About the role

Spearhead Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an established law firm for an experienced Private Client Solicitor. You will manage a varied private client caseload, develop long‑term client relationships and contribute to the firm’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of wills, probate, estate administration, lasting powers of attorney and Court of Protection matters from instruction to completion.
• Provide clear, practical and commercially appropriate legal advice to private clients.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, introducers and contacts.
• Proactively pursue client care and business development opportunities.
• Support the firm’s reputation through marketing, networking and training initiatives.
• Maintain accurate case files, meet deadlines and achieve billing targets while complying with GDPR, AML and regulatory obligations.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with SRA registration and at least 2 years post‑qualification experience in private client law.
• Experience handling wills, probate, lasting powers of attorney and related matters.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and meet billing targets.
• Strong organisational, communication and client‑care skills.
• Proactive, self‑motivated and forward‑thinking attitude.
• Good understanding of AML, GDPR and the ability to obtain a DBS check.
