Private Client Tax Assistant

About the role

We are supporting a well‑established accountancy practice in hiring a Private Client Tax Assistant. Working closely with an experienced Tax Senior, you will develop your personal tax expertise while delivering high‑quality service to individuals, directors and business owners.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Self‑Assessment tax returns for individuals, directors and business owners.
• Support the Personal Tax Senior with compliance and advisory work.
• Liaise with clients and HMRC to resolve queries and obtain information.
• Assist with tax planning projects where appropriate.
• Ensure work is completed accurately and meets HMRC deadlines.
• Build strong client relationships through excellent service and communication.

Required profile

• ATT qualified, currently studying for ATT, or qualified by experience.
• Previous experience in personal tax within a UK accountancy practice.
• Good understanding of Self‑Assessment tax compliance.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with a proactive, client‑focused approach.
• Eager to learn and develop within personal tax.
