Private Client Tax Director

About the role

TPF Recruitment is seeking a Private Client Tax Director to join a respected Chartered Accountancy firm in Sidcup. The role offers the chance to lead a specialist tax team, deliver high‑quality advice to high‑net‑worth individuals and estates, and contribute to the firm’s reputation for excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and review of income tax returns for a diverse private client portfolio.
• Provide strategic tax planning advice covering Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, trusts, wills and probate.
• Mentor and develop junior tax staff, ensuring high standards of service.
• Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and timely delivery.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory filing deadlines and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA, ACCA and/or CTA (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in private client tax within a practice environment.
• Deep knowledge of UK tax legislation and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong organisational abilities and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
