Private Client Tax Director

About the role

We are partnering with one of the UK’s largest independent chartered accountancy firms to recruit a Private Client Tax Director for their Edinburgh office. You will inherit a portfolio of high‑net‑worth individuals, entrepreneurs, families and trusts, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future growth of the private client tax practice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, trusts and succession planning.
• Deliver private wealth advisory services to high‑net‑worth clients.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of tax professionals.
• Collaborate closely with partners to expand the service line and drive business development.
• Maintain and grow strong client relationships across diverse sectors.

Required profile

• Significant experience in private client tax advisory at senior manager, associate director or director level.
• CTA, ATT and/or CA qualification.
• Proven leadership and team‑development experience.
• Commercial mindset with exposure to business development.
