Private Client Tax Manager – Hybrid, £75‑85k

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Private Client Tax Manager to join a respected independent accountancy practice. You will work closely with Tax Partners, manage a portfolio of high‑net‑worth clients and contribute to both compliance and advisory projects in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of private client tax engagements.
• Prepare and review Self Assessment, Partnership, Trust and Estate tax returns.
• Identify tax planning opportunities while delivering technically robust compliance work.
• Review and mentor junior team members, supporting their development.
• Assist Tax Partners in supervising the wider tax team.
• Develop long‑term client relationships and ensure an exceptional client experience.
• Support new client onboarding and help grow the tax department.

Required profile

• CTA qualified with experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of private client tax compliance and a desire to expand advisory expertise.
• Confident communicator who builds lasting client relationships.
• Proactive, organised and committed to high‑quality service.
• Experience with trusts, estates, charitable trusts, non‑domiciliaries or owner‑managed businesses is highly valued.
