Private Client Tax Manager

About the role

This senior position sits within a well‑established private client team that advises high‑net‑worth individuals, entrepreneurs and family offices across Surrey and London. You will combine complex compliance work with meaningful advisory services, building trusted, long‑term relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of HNW and UHNW individuals, trusts and partnerships.
• Deliver high‑quality tax compliance alongside complex advisory work.
• Advise on tax planning matters including Inheritance Tax (IHT), Capital Gains Tax (CGT), residence and domicile.
• Build and develop long‑term client relationships.
• Identify opportunities to add value across the client base.
• Work closely with partners on complex client matters.
• Support and develop junior team members.
• Contribute to a collaborative, knowledge‑sharing culture.

Required profile

• CTA, ACA, STEP or ATT qualified.
• Strong background in private client tax within a UK accountancy practice.
• Currently operating at manager level or ready to step up.
• Technically strong with experience across complex personal tax matters.
• Commercially aware and confident in client‑facing situations.
• Motivated to take ownership and contribute within a team.
