Private Client Tax Manager

About the role

You will lead the delivery of high‑quality personal tax services to a diverse portfolio of high‑net‑worth individuals, entrepreneurs and family trusts. The role combines complex compliance work with strategic tax planning and client relationship development.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and deliver personal tax compliance and advisory services for a varied client base.
• Identify and implement tax planning opportunities, covering inheritance tax, capital gains tax, residence and domicile matters.
• Mentor and review the work of junior team members.
• Develop and nurture client relationships through proactive communication and tailored solutions.
• Oversee portfolio management and ensure high standards of technical accuracy.

Required profile

• Experienced personal tax professional, ideally CTA qualified.
• Strong technical grounding in UK personal tax legislation.
• Proven ability to manage a client portfolio and deliver strategic advice.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, commercial awareness and a proactive mindset.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of inheritance tax, capital gains tax and residence/domicile rules.
• Expertise in personal tax compliance and planning.
